Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Book Binder to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, binding, and finishing books and printed materials with precision and care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of binding techniques, quality control standards, and manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality finished products that meet client specifications and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of binding techniques, quality control standards, and manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality finished products that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
● Operate binding equipment including sewing machines, glue binders, and casing-in machines
● Trim, fold, and collate pages according to job specifications
● Apply finishing techniques such as trimming, corner rounding, and protective covers
● Perform quality control checks throughout the binding process
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
● Collaborate with prepress teams on layout adjustments and print accuracy
● Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
● Assist with inventory management of supplies and raw materials
● Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery such as CNC cutters or flexo presses
● Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Key Qualifications
● Experience in bookbinding, printing, or related manufacturing roles
● Knowledge of saddle stitching, perfect binding, case binding, and spiral binding
● Familiarity with print processes and layout design principles
● Experience operating CNC cutters, flexo presses, or similar production machinery
● Understanding of color management, typography, and print quality standards
● Forklift or material handling experience is a plus
● Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
● Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
● Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
● Experience in bookbinding, printing, or related manufacturing roles
