Brake Press Operator
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our team in Mishawaka, IN. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, operating brake press equipment to produce precision metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards. Experience with Bystronic brake press machines is a major plus.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Brake Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
● Operating Brake Press Equipment: Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend and form metal parts according to specifications and production requirements.
● Reading Blueprints and Measurements: Interpret part prints and use calipers and measuring tools to ensure finished products meet quality standards and tolerances.
● Monitoring Production Quality: Inspect completed parts for accuracy and consistency while making machine adjustments as needed.
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all company safety procedures, and assist with general production tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
● Previous brake press operating experience preferred.
● Experience with Bystronic brake press equipment is highly preferred.
● Ability to read blueprints and part prints accurately.
● Basic computer skills for operating brake press systems.
● Ability to lift materials and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
● Precision Measurement: Ability to use calipers and measuring tools accurately to verify product dimensions.
● Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable operating machinery and making basic machine adjustments.
● Attention to Detail: Ensures all formed parts meet quality and production standards.
