Job Summary
Are you a skilled and detail-oriented operator? We're seeking a Brake Press Operator
to join our laser team. In this role, you’ll operate CNC or manual brake press machines to bend, shape, and form aluminum sheets and parts while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Brake Press Operator
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Machine Operation:
Set up and operate CNC or manual brake press machines according to blueprints and specifications.
- Measurement & Quality:
Read technical drawings and measure completed parts using calipers, gauges, and other tools to ensure accuracy.
- Machine Adjustments:
Adjust machine settings to maintain part tolerances within 1 degree.
In addition, you will perform routine maintenance checks, report mechanical issues, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of brake press operation experience, preferably in metal or aluminum fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate, adjust, and maintain brake press machinery.
- Collaboration:
Work effectively with team members to achieve production goals.
