Break Relief/Floater- $18.50- Grand Rapids, MI
Work at a local tortilla chip manufacturer helping in all areas of production and packaging to facilitate efficient flow of the product throughout the process.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Operate machines and adjust as needed
- Maintain production for various positions and departments while stationed workers are on their breaks
- Perform product quality checks
- Package, palletize and wrap product
- Adhere to GMP guidelines
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred
Skills:
- Able to learn various machines and positions
- Flexible, willing to help where needed
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred, 3 years production experience required
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with the team in English
- Must have knowledge and experience with a weigh scale
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs max (on rare occasion)
- Must be able to do basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply)
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout entire shift
- Must be able to work with a team
In this role candidates need to have some leadership experience such as team lead or line lead and have worked in various manufacturing positions.
This person will be responsible to fill in wherever he is needed in all processing and packaging positions to cover vacations, and absences, including lead positions.
They will operate all equipment from Corn Cook, Grinder, Toaster Sheeter to Bagger machines. They will be doing Quality work as needed.
