Cabinet Builder / Construction Laborer
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | Monday–Thursday
Pay: $19.00–$22.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary
Are you someone who enjoys building, working with your hands, and seeing a finished product come together? We're looking for a skilled and dependable Cabinet Builder / Construction Laborer to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN.
In this role, you'll use your construction experience and knowledge of hand and power tools to help manufacture high-quality airport casework. This is a great opportunity for someone with a construction, carpentry, cabinet-building, or similar hands-on background who takes pride in quality craftsmanship.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Cabinet Builder / Construction Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Cabinet & Casework Assembly: Build and assemble airport casework according to work instructions and production specifications.
  • Construction & Carpentry: Apply construction and building knowledge to accurately fit and assemble components.
  • Hand & Power Tool Operation: Safely use hand and power tools to build, fasten, and finish products.
  • Measuring & Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to job specifications.
  • Product Assembly: Fit components together accurately and securely to produce completed casework.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy, workmanship, and overall quality.
  • Production Support: Work with team members to maintain production schedules and meet daily goals.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.
In addition, you'll assist with material handling and other production or construction-related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • Previous construction, building, carpentry, cabinet-building, or similar hands-on experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience using hand and power tools required.
  • Ability to accurately read measurements and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and remain physically active throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Skills
  • Construction & Building: Strong understanding of basic construction and assembly methods.
  • Hand & Power Tools: Ability to safely and accurately use common construction and assembly tools.
  • Measuring: Ability to accurately measure materials and components to ensure proper fit and assembly.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, fit, finish, and overall craftsmanship.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable assembling components and solving basic construction or assembly issues.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to producing finished products that meet company standards.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and work with others to meet production goals.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to following proper tool operation and workplace safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, kneel, and perform repetitive movements as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools throughout the workday.
  • Ability to handle and maneuver construction materials and assembled components.
