Job Summary
Join a family oriented, growth focused precision machining team. We're seeking a Grinder operator to join our team in Reed City, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to set up and operate Centerless Grinder cells at maximum quality while meeting rate standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Grinder operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate Centerless Grinder cell : At maximum quality while meeting rate standards.
- Inspect parts : Visually and with measuring devices (calipers and micrometers) to assure quality per blueprint specifications.
- Install appropriate grinding wheels : Regulating wheels and tools as needed.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform basic machine maintenance and repair as defined on the preventative maintenance schedule.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Centerless Grinder operator experience (1-3 years minimum preferred).
- Experience running Cincinnati Centerless Grinder is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience (1-3 years required).
- Knowledge of blueprints, gaging and equipment specific to the job.
- High School or equivalent (preferred).
Skills:
- Excellent Attendance : Essential for consistent performance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail : And ability to follow instructions precisely, for quality parts produced and adherence to standards.
- Good communication skills : For working well in a team environment and recording accurate information.
