CMM Programmer

Location:  Warren, MI  Shift:  Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (OT & weekends as needed)  Pay: $75,000–$80,000/year

Job Summary

We are hiring a  CMM Programmer  to support quality operations in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, inspection, and ensuring products meet both company and customer quality standards. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical and quality experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform dimensional layouts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Romer Arm, and CMM
 • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specifications
 • Develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
 • Support PPAP, APQP, and product approval processes
 • Troubleshoot CMM equipment, probe systems, and program issues
 • Perform calibrations and maintain inspection records
 • Conduct internal audits (system, process, and product)
 • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
 • Assist production and engineering teams with training, tool trials, and problem-solving
 • Maintain First Article documentation and Visual Acceptance Standards
 • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:
 • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Quality or related field
 • Minimum 2+ years of experience programming CMM using PC-DMIS
 • Experience using Romer Arm and inspection equipment
 • Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques
 • Experience with Microsoft Excel
