Job Summary
Are you a precision-driven professional with a strong background in quality inspection? We’re seeking a CMM Programmer / Operator / Inspector to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for programming, operating, and inspecting parts using CMM equipment and traditional inspection tools to ensure products meet customer and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with job shop experience who enjoys working with a wide variety of parts.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a CMM Programmer / Operator / Inspector, your core responsibilities will include:
- Program and operate Zeiss CMM equipment using Calypso software (or similar)
- Perform dimensional inspections using hand-measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Inspect a wide variety of parts in a job shop environment to ensure compliance with prints and specifications
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Communicate inspection findings with production and quality teams and assist with troubleshooting issues
In addition, you will maintain inspection equipment, keep your work area organized, and follow all quality and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Experience with Zeiss CMM equipment
- Experience using Calypso software or similar CMM programming software
- Strong experience with hand inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Job shop experience inspecting a wide variety of parts
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
