Location: Livonia, MI Shift: 2nd (4:00 PM–2:30 AM) Pay: $23–$35/hr S ign-On Bonus: $1,500 after 90 days Shift Premium: 20%
Job Summary
We're seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist
to join our team in Livonia, MI.
In this role, you’ll work with a certified manufacturer specializing in precision gears and aerospace components, supporting prototype and production programs for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a C
NC Lathe Machinist, your core responsibilities will include:
- CNC Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Tooling & Adjustment: Install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, and stock pushers to optimize production.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform first-piece and in-process inspections, maintain production logs, and follow all safety and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes.
- Experience with dual spindles, malta, or turn/mill operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Reliable attendance and attention to detail.
Skills:
- Technical Accuracy: Ability to perform precise machining operations and maintain tight tolerances.
- Troubleshooting: Skilled in identifying and resolving mechanical or process issues quickly.
- Teamwork & Communication: Collaborates effectively with production and quality teams to ensure consistent output.
