What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lead CNC Lathe Setup/Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
Machine Operations:
Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills equipped with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controllers to produce high-quality precision parts.
Tooling & Programming:
Write and adjust CNC programs as needed, perform tool changes, and troubleshoot machines to maintain production flow and quality standards.
Material Handling:
Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass—applying knowledge of proper cutting speeds, feeds, and depth of cuts for single and multiple passes.
Production & Quality:
Read and interpret blueprints, perform precision measurements, and ensure all finished parts meet engineering and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming, setup, and operating experience
• Experience cutting steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass
• Knowledge of proper cutting speeds, feeds, and depths of cuts
• Must be able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
