CNC Mill Machinist
Location: Livonia, MI Shift: 2nd Pay: $23–$35/hr Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 after 90 days Shift Premium: 20%
Job Summary
We're seeking a CNC Mill Machinist
to join our team in Livonia, MI. In this role, you’ll work with a certified manufacturer specializing in precision gears and aerospace components, supporting prototype and production programs for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a CNC Mill Machinist,
your core responsibilities will include:
- Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC mills to machine precision parts to print specifications.
- Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T to ensure accuracy.
- Programming & Tooling: Program offsets, perform tool changes, and verify setups for efficient production.
In addition, you will also perform in-process inspections, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, record production data, and follow safety and workspace organization standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of CNC mill operation experience.
- Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining preferred.
- Understanding of tooling setup and machine calibration.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret GD&T and blueprints accurately.
Skills:
- Precision & Accuracy: Ability to maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent part quality.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting and adjusting processes to maintain efficiency.
- Technical Competence: Knowledgeable in CNC programming, setup, and multi-axis operations.
