CNC Operator - 1st Shift - $21/hr - Northville, MI
Precision, Speed & Skill….Join a Team That Runs Like a Machine!
Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Perform machine setups, offsets, and tool changes as needed
- Run Takamaz CNC lathes with program editing and maintenance
- Monitor cutting tools and change inserts to maintain quality
- Complete inspection documentation and operator maintenance sheets
- Transfer and inspect parts using hand gauges and CMM
- Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of CNC machine operation and setup experience
- Proficient with CNC lathes (Takamaz experience preferred)
- Able to read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and G-code
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances (±0.008mm)
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand gauges, drop indicators, and CMM
- Experience working in automated cells (robots, conveyors, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting ability and solid math skills
As a CNC Operator, you will be expected to handle all aspects of CNC machine operation from setup to final inspection. You'll play a key role in maintaining efficiency, precision, and product quality while working independently in an advanced, automated environment.
