Job Summary
Workbox Staffing  is seeking a skilled Lead  CNC Operator/Programmer  to join our team. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC programming, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and lead a production team
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) to produce precision metal parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
  • Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed records of production runs and machine maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve machining processes and optimize efficiency.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience as a team lead or in a supervisory role
  • Experience in CNC machining and programming is required (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other CAD/CAM software).
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, machining processes, and tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and automated systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Quality control certification
  • Preventative maintenance experience 
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
