is seeking a skilled Lead
CNC Operator/Programmer
to join our team. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC programming, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to precision manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and lead a production team
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) to produce precision metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
- Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Maintain detailed records of production runs and machine maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve machining processes and optimize efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- Experience as a team lead or in a supervisory role
- Experience in CNC machining and programming is required (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other CAD/CAM software).
- Strong understanding of metal properties, machining processes, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and automated systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
