Shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $18.00–$22.00/hour

Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position involves working with a wide variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, exotic metals, nylon, and plastics, to produce precision-machined components. The ideal candidate has CNC machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.

What You'll Be Doing
As a CNC Machinist, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Operating CNC Machines: Set up and operate vertical machining centers to produce precision parts.
  • Reading Technical Documents: Interpret travelers and blueprints to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
  • Performing Quality Checks: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect finished products for accuracy.
  • Setting Tools and Offsets: Put tooling together, set tools, and set X0, Y0, and Z0 as needed.
  • Supporting Machining Operations: Perform drilling, tapping, threading, milling, hard turning, and centerless grinding on a variety of materials.
  • Maintaining a Safe Work Area: Keep workspaces clean and organized while following all safety protocols.
In addition, you will help ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and according to customer and company quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience operating CNC mills/lathes, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers and 2-axis lathes.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Previous experience putting tooling together, setting tools, and setting X0, Y0, and Z0.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Skills
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings to ensure proper machining.
  • Measurement Proficiency: Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges for precise inspections.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC equipment operation.
  • CNC Machine Operation: Ability to safely set up and operate CNC machining centers and lathes.
  • Quality Control: Ability to inspect parts and maintain tight tolerances.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to following workplace safety procedures and maintaining an organized work area.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and safely operate CNC equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking materials.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands, arms, and upper body.
