Will be working in the our secondary department. Candidate will be using hand bender machines, packaging parts and other miscellaneous duties. Must be able to read micrometers and calipers. Key Outcomes: 1. Keep up with the production pace throughout the shift 2. Follow all directions from supervisors and leads 3. Wear all personal protective equipment required and work in a safety conscious manner Essential Job Functions: 1. Ability to work in a steady, medium to fast paced environment 2. Ability to work very repetitive task 3. Ability to work in a very physical position with lifting up to 50lbs regularly 4. Available to work over time (after shift) and on the weekends. We are looking for a Spring Coiling Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate automatic, torsion, and coiling machines to produce high-quality compression, extension, and torsion springs according to customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys precision work and hands-on manufacturing. What You'll Be DoingSet up and operate automatic, torsion, and coiling machines. Read and interpret blueprints and setup charts to determine machine setup requirements. Select and install proper machine attachments, tooling, and wire stock. Verify wire size using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers. Adjust cams, pitch tools, cutters, and other tooling to produce springs that meet blueprint specifications. Perform quality checks using spring testing equipment to verify load and spring rate. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Sharpen cutoff tools and maintain coiling and pitch tools as needed. Recommend blueprint improvements when appropriate. Fabricate tooling attachments, including pitch tools, cams, forming tools, and cutoff tools when necessary. Maintain accountability for raw materials used during production and properly return unused materials. Follow all safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean work area. What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience operating automated manufacturing or coiling equipment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with precision measuring tools including: Micrometers Calipers Gauges Experience working with cams, forming tools, and cut-off tools is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
