Composite Technician
Location:  Holland, MI
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am-5:00pm (M-Th)
Pay: $22.00-$25.00/hour 

Job Summary
We’re seeking a Composite Technician to join a growing production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for handling molds, laminating composite materials, performing bagging/cook operations, and assembling finished parts. You’ll follow precise work instructions and quality standards to ensure every product meets customer and production requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
General Composite Processes
  • Follow all work construction procedures, quality documents, and job-specific instructions.
  • Ensure workmanship meets quality and safety standards throughout all stages of composite production.
Mold Handling
  • Inspect molds for defects or damage before use.
  • Clean and prep laminate surfaces and apply release agents as required.
  • Remove molds from ovens or autoclaves safely.
  • Remove finished products from molds without causing damage to the mold or the part.
Laminating
  • Follow the laminate schedule and work instructions for each job.
  • Confirm correct materials, fiber orientation, number of layers, and placement.
  • Debulk between layers as specified.
  • Inspect laminates for quality issues such as bridging, bag failure, or surface defects.
  • Make minor mold adjustments when necessary.
  • Complete all required quality documentation.
  • Move completed laminations to the staging area for bagging.
Bagging / Cook Operations
  • Use assigned materials to produce efficient, cost-effective vacuum bags for laminated parts.
  • Test and inspect vacuum bags for punctures, leaks, voids, and overall vacuum integrity.
  • Load correctly bagged parts into the autoclave or oven for curing.
Assembling
  • Report any quality issues or defects to the Production Manager.
  • Assemble parts and hardware according to sequence and assembly instructions.
  • Collect parts needed to match customer purchase orders and prepare items for shipment.
Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and atape measure is required
  • Must be comfortable using hand and power tools 
  • Previous composite experience or related experience is preferred
