Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity? We're seeking a Composite Technician to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping produce high-quality composite components by following detailed construction and quality processes at every stage of production.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Composite Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
● Mold Handling: Inspect molds for defects or damage, prepare laminate surfaces by cleaning and applying release agents, remove molds from ovens or autoclaves, and safely remove finished products to prevent damage.
● Laminating: Follow laminate schedules and work instructions to ensure correct materials, orientation, number of layers, and placement. Debulk between layers as required and inspect products for quality issues such as bag failure, bridging, or aesthetic defects while completing required documentation.
● Bagging & Cook Operations: Use assigned bagging materials to create efficient vacuum bags, test and inspect bagged parts for proper vacuum levels, and transfer parts into autoclave or oven chambers for curing.
In addition, you will also assist with assembling finished parts and hardware according to sequence instructions and prepare completed orders for shipment while communicating any quality concerns to the Production Manager.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Previous manufacturing or composite experience preferred
● Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality documentation
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Skills:
● Attention to Detail: Ability to follow laminate schedules and verify correct materials, orientation, and layer placement to ensure product quality.
● Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with molds, vacuum systems, ovens, and autoclaves.
● Quality Focus: Ability to inspect for defects, document findings, and communicate concerns to leadership.
