Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Configuration
Technician I
to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping configure and deploy computer hardware and mobile devices accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper tracking and documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Configuration Technician I, your core responsibilities will include:
- Device Configuration & Deployment: Configure and deploy PCs and mobile devices to ensure proper setup and readiness for use.
- System Navigation & Management: Use and navigate Windows OS, Windows Mobile OS, Apple iOS, and Android OS, including renaming systems and managing file structures.
- Asset Tagging & Documentation: Accurately record and track work, including asset tagging, scanning items into electronic systems, and marking items complete.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, endpoint management systems, basic hardware troubleshooting, and maintaining organization of completed and in-progress equipment.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 75–200 lbs occasionally
Skills:
- Technical proficiency: Working knowledge of Windows OS, mobile devices, and strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and electronically
- Attention to detail & accountability: Ability to accurately record and track work while working independently with minimal supervision
