CROSS SHAFT & BRACE PRESS MACHINE OPERATOR
INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Welding Supervisor and Production Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
CROSS SHAFT AND BRACE PRESS MACHINE OPERATOR: Performs functions that are associated with operating Cross Shaft and Brace Press machines. Uses the overhead crane for movement of raw materials to punching out of the end product. Places finished product into proper container.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
Operate the overhead crane.
Adjusts cut off machine so strike plate is set for correct cut length.
Operating the punch press fixture.
Manual lifting of parts.
Follow and strictly adhere to area Work Instructions/OPINSP (Operator Inspection Reports).
Daily cleaning & 5S to be followed and performed.
Timely communication to Maintenance Department of perishable tool needs.
Immediate and timely notification to maintenance and production supervisor with any downtime issues or machine operation concerns.
Gauging to check for conformity to print specifications.
Perform quality work and checks.
Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Highly dependable, motivated and self-driven with excellent attendance.
Ability to follow, understand and strictly abide by the Work Instructions. (WI)
High level of attention to detail is a must.
Able to use handheld tools and measuring devices correctly and safely.
Basic math skills as defined by company standards.
Able to read and write legible as defined by company standards.
Ability to gain knowledge of company products, company quality and safety procedures.
Understanding of Basic Processes.

Job SummaryWorkbox Staffing is hiring a Cross Shaft Operator for a manufacturing company in Grand Haven!
