2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Must choose a solidified 5 hour schedule)
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Custodian to join our team in Forest Hills, MI. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff — helping ensure that school facilities are well cared for and conducive to learning every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Custodian, your core responsibilities will include:
● Cleaning and sanitizing facilities: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
● Maintaining supplies and equipment: Monitor inventory levels, use cleaning chemicals safely, and report when materials or repairs are needed.
● Supporting school operations: Assist with event setup, perform minor maintenance tasks, and ensure all areas are ready for daily activities.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform periodic deep cleaning of specialized areas and take proactive steps to maintain sanitation and safety standards across the facility.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● 1–2 years of previous custodial or cleaning experience
● Valid driver’s license or State ID
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically and perform physical work throughout the shift
● Must complete and pass a fingerprint live scan before starting
Skills:
● Attention to detail: Ensures all cleaning tasks meet sanitation and safety standards.
● Time management: Effectively prioritizes and completes cleaning and maintenance tasks within scheduled hours.
● Teamwork and communication: Works well with staff and administration to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Preferred Skills:
● Basic math skills
● Bilingual (English/Spanish)
