Customer Care Representative

Location:    Harrison Township    1st shift:  8am - 5pm  Pay:  $20/hr
 
Job Summary
 
The customer care representative will work as part of the sales team, primarily focusing on accepting customer calls, processing orders and emails, and managing the E-store. This role is essential for building strong internal and external customer relationships to improve business results. The representative will utilize techniques to engage customers, improve efficiencies, and grow the business. This position requires computer knowledge and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
 
As a Customer Care Representative, your core responsibilities will include:
 
  • Customer Engagement:  Accept customer calls, process orders, process emails, and work with the E-store (including chat and assisting with registration/navigation).
  • Sales Support:  Correspond with customers, sales, and suppliers as needed; contact current and prospective customers to sell and explain products, perform account rounding, and solicit new business.
  • Documentation & Reporting:  Maintain proper records of all transactions; prepare reports as needed; prepare, process, review, and monitor various documents (e.g., purchase orders).
  • Technical Assistance:  Provide technical assistance to customers and/or customer care.
  • Financial/Administrative:  Initiate purchase orders and amendments; prepare and present proposals/quotes; assist customers and arrange payment terms; provide advisory support and administrative assistance to the department supervisor as needed.
  • Compliance:  Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner; perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
 
What We’re Looking For
 
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
 
Qualifications:
 
  • High School diploma is required (Associate degree preferred).
  • Past call center experience desired.
  • Past inside sales experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must possess good decision-making abilities, negotiation skills, and business acumen.
  • Must have computer knowledge and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, be well organized, and manage time well.
  • Must take initiative and be results driven.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks.
  • Must be focused on relationships with inside and outside customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interface with other departments.
