Job Title:  Customer Service Technician 
Location:  Greenville, MI 
Pay:  $24/hr 
Shift: 1st shift 8am-5pm 
 

Job Summary

We are seeking a  Technical Support Specialist  to provide continuous phone and email assistance for  technical and warranty service-related issues . You will work closely with end-users, dealers, distributors, and service centers to deliver effective troubleshooting solutions and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to navigate company databases while providing prompt, professional support.
 
Essential Duties
  • Provide  diagnostic support  and resolution for field service issues
     
  • Capture service call information and manage related tasks
     
  • Communicate  company warranty  and  repair policies  clearly and accurately
     
  • Respond to inquiries from customers and assist with service-related website requests
     
  • Provide technical service support to  manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams
     
  • Collaborate daily with the  Technical Support Leader  to resolve issues efficiently
     
  • Navigate company databases and service systems to access and share technical information
     
  • Process  order entry  for parts or services as needed
     
  • Assist customers in locating service agents and distributors online
     
  • Occasionally perform  appliance repairs  in homes, labs, or dealer stores
     
  • Perform other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications

  • HVAC degree  with an emphasis on refrigeration preferred
     
  • Field service experience  is highly desirable, especially with  gas, electric, or wood-burning appliances  (ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.)
     
  • Experience working with a  database management system  and customer service environment
     
  • Strong  diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
     
  • Excellent  phone etiquette  and ability to manage inquiries via email professionally
     
  • Clear and effective  verbal and written communication skills
     
  • Proficiency in  Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)  and  Outlook
     
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and pass a pre-employment drug screening
     

Preferred Skills

  • Experience troubleshooting  appliance repair  issues
     
  • Technical aptitude to assist service companies with problem resolution
     
  • Strong attention to detail when capturing and documenting service information
     
  • Dedication to  continuous improvement  in both customer service and company performance
