Location: Lake Odessa, MI Shift: Day Shift (6am–6pm, 2-2-3 schedule) Pay: $18 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Furnace Operator to join our team in Lake Odessa, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping us safely process scrap aluminum through the recycling process.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Furnace Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
● Maintaining a clean and safe work area: Ensuring the workspace is organized and hazard-free. ● Loading scrap aluminum into furnaces: Supporting continuous production flow by feeding material into the smelting process. ● Monitoring the smelting process: Keeping a close eye on temperatures, flow, and equipment to ensure quality output. ● Maintaining essential equipment: Performing basic upkeep to keep operations running smoothly.
In addition, you will also be expected to contribute to a team-oriented environment and adapt to process changes as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: ● Flexible and willing to learn, especially about aluminum smelting ● Ability to lift 50 lbs or more consistently ● Comfortable working in a HOT work environment
Skills: ● Attention to safety: Essential for maintaining a hazard-free work area. ● Mechanical aptitude: Helps in monitoring and maintaining smelting equipment effectively. ● Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues ensures smooth production and problem-solving.
