Demolition Laborer – Water & Fire Restoration
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm (Various Days)
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated, hands-on individual who isn’t afraid of physical work? We’re seeking a Demolition Laborer to support water and fire restoration projects for residential and commercial properties. In this role, you’ll help remove damaged materials, maintain safe job sites, and assist restoration technicians during both scheduled and emergency services.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Demolition Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:
● Demolition & Material Removal: Safely remove water-damaged, fire-damaged, or mold-affected materials such as drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinets, and ceilings to prepare sites for restoration.
● Site Prep & Clean-Up: Remove debris and trash from work areas to maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
● Tool & Equipment Operation: Set up restoration equipment and operate hand and power tools including sledgehammers, jackhammers, and sawzalls.
In addition, you will assist with job-related documentation, interact professionally with customers and insurance representatives, and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergency calls.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
● Prior experience in demolition, construction, or restoration preferred
● Ownership of basic general demolition tools may be required
● Availability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts
