Job Summary
Are you a motivated and hands-on leader looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We’re seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Byron Center, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our daily operations, ensuring the warehouse and plant run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while supporting our mission to deliver reliable pallet and material management solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily warehouse and plant operations : Oversee production flow, staffing, and operational efficiency to keep the facility running at full capacity.
- Coordinating cross‑department communication : Work closely with Sales, Dispatch, Customer Service, Drivers, and Production Teams to ensure seamless scheduling and workflow.
- Managing inbound and outbound logistics: Ensure trucks are loaded/unloaded properly, pallets are sorted and repaired, and all shipping/receiving processes are completed accurately.
In addition, you will also be expected to take ownership of hands-on tasks when needed, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the operation.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of plant, warehouse, or operations leadership experience
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Hands-on management style with willingness to work alongside the team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift and warehouse experience preferred
- Strong organizational and accountability skills
- Ability to work in all operational areas as needed
Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management: Essential for creating accountability, coaching employees, and maintaining a productive work environment.
- Problem-Solving: Critical for addressing operational issues quickly and keeping production on track.
- Operational Knowledge & Equipment Skills: Important for overseeing pallet sorting, drum handling, IBC tote processing, and ensuring all paperwork and processes are completed correctly.
