Job Summary
We are seeking a Dispatch/Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a company that buys and sells new, used, and reconditioned pallets. This role supports daily shipping operations, ensures accurate documentation, and provides excellent communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a Dispatch/Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a company that buys and sells new, used, and reconditioned pallets. This role supports daily shipping operations, ensures accurate documentation, and provides excellent communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry including outbound BOLs, dispatch boards, tickets, and photos
- Manage inbound and outbound communication via phone and email
- Check trucks in and out while coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt shipment movement
- Update customers on ETAs and shipping status
- Oversee inventory and maintain accurate records
- Send document receipts and respond to all incoming emails and calls
- Work closely with production to manage trucks for steel shipments
- Assist with general shipping and receiving tasks as needed
Key Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Ability to perform accurate data entry
- Strong communication skills for phone and email correspondence
- Ability to coordinate transportation and monitor shipments
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate a computer effectively
- Attention to detail with the ability to review shipping documents for accuracy
- Ability to make special shipping arrangements when needed
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong customer service skills to ensure efficient material movement
