Location: Belmont, MI Shift 1st shift Pay $18
Job Summary:
The Drill Press Operator operates manual and powered drill presses to drill holes in steel plates and fabricated parts. This position reads blueprints and work orders, sets up tooling, measures parts, and inspects finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

Duties:
- Operate manual and powered drill presses to drill holes in steel parts.
- Read basic blueprints and work orders to determine hole size, location, and quantity.
- Select and install proper drill bits and tooling.
- Secure parts using clamps, vises, or fixtures.
- Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
- Deburr drilled holes and inspect finished parts for quality.
- Move steel parts using cranes, hoists, or forklifts when trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use measuring tools.
- Ability to work with steel parts and operate machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Previous drill press or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
