EDM Programmer / Operator
Location: Shelby Twp Shift: 1st Pay: Based on Experience
Job Summary
We are hiring an EDM Programmer / Operator to support precision manufacturing operations. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate wire EDM equipment to produce high-precision parts while ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Program, set up, and operate wire EDM equipment • Ensure machines are running properly and producing parts to specification • Make adjustments and corrections during setup and operation as needed • Inspect and verify parts meet tight tolerances and blueprint specifications • Program machines using VISI software • Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts • Perform and document preventive maintenance on equipment • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: • Experience programming and operating EDM equipment required • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision parts • Familiarity with VISI software preferred
Skills & Competencies: • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine setups • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
