Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual for an Equipment Sanitor role with our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining production equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position is critical to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for producing high-quality food products.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to company standards and schedules
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning and inspection
- Follow all sanitation procedures, safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness and report any equipment or sanitation issues
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks throughout the facility
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support smooth operations
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, or food manufacturing experience preferred but not required (training provided)
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely and follow all safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a wet, cold, or humid environment
- Willingness to work overnight or off-shifts, as sanitation is typically performed outside of production hours
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
