. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping the team deliver high-quality heat-treated metal components that meet customer specifications, safety standards, and production requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Furnace Operator / Heat Treater
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Operating Heat Treat Furnaces: Load, unload, and monitor batch or continuous furnaces to ensure proper heat treat cycles are achieved.
- Process Control & Monitoring: Set and verify temperature, time, and atmosphere requirements to meet job specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Inspection: Perform pre- and post-heat treat inspections, including hardness testing and basic measurements, to ensure part quality.
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain accurate production records, follow all safety procedures, and assist with routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous furnace operator or heat treating experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in high-temperature environments
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ensures heat treat processes meet strict quality and customer specifications.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Helps identify equipment issues and supports basic maintenance tasks.
- Time Management: Supports meeting production schedules and workflow demands in a fast-paced environment.
