Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate for welding. You will be responsible for performing welding operations on metal components using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to produce high-quality welded products.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Welder
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Perform various weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations
- MIG and TIG welding to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
- Maintain all welding equipment
- Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with packaging, quality inspection, and other related tasks as requested.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG welding preferred)
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of equivalent experience in welding
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Knowledge of wire, filler materials, and gases for various steel alloys
- Ability to read blueprints and weld requirement symbols
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to work as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and work guidelines
Skills:
- Experience with fixturing and weld setup parameters
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
