Job Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for a Finish Milling / Grinder Operator to perform finish machining on metal parts. This role includes operating CNC or manual milling machines and rotary surface grinding machines to bring parts to final specifications. This local company manufactures heavy equipment parts, dies, and molds.
Job Duties
- Operate CNC or manual milling machines for finish machining
- Set up machines, load programs, and select tooling
- Operate and adjust a rotary surface (Blanchard) grinder
- Select, change, and dress grinding wheels
- Read blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools
- Make machine adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of machining, grinding, or tool and die experience preferred (not required)
- Basic CNC knowledge helpful
- Ability to read measuring tools such as micrometers and scales
- General understanding of machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
