2nd Shift -Foreman - Miscellaneous Shop, $25+/hr – Grand Rapids, MI
Come work for a privately owned manufacturing company servicing the construction industry in Grand Rapids, MI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Controls workflow by material handling with overhead crane.
- Able to operate all yard equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Directs workload per employee capabilities
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment while promoting policies and procedures at all times.
- Completing quality checks and weld inspections
- Communicating with Project Management and captains on project related questions and detailing
Preferred Skills:
- Overhead crane experience is a must
- Able to work on feet for 90-95% of the time
- Able to read, write, and speak in English.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work and collaborate with team while supervising, leading, and managing employees
- Monitor and direct day to day activities
- Self-starter who can work with minimal or little supervision
- Able to communicate shift expectations and discipline plant personnel as necessary
- Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are preferred
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Foreman in Grand Rapids. In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance for production and directing production according to the schedule. You will also report scheduling issues to the Plant Manager, assist with quality checks, and receive and organize parts while implementing general safety procedures.
