Position Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Material Handler Associate to support logistics operations in a manufacturing environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity includes forklift operation, inventory handling, shipping/receiving, and other warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, tuggers, or elevating platforms to move products and materials
- Receive, scan, and store purchased parts using bar code scanners and ERP systems
- Pull components for assembly and stage finished goods for shipment
- Perform cycle counts and inventory checks
- Complete daily equipment inspections and routine forklift maintenance
- Maintain updated activity and inventory logs
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Handle returnable packaging, repackaging, and special assignments as directed
- Work collaboratively in a team setting and be cross-trained as needed
Position Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment
- Valid forklift license and driver’s license
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic math and computer skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety and operational documents
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Physical capability to lift 25–40 lbs occasionally and sit/drive for 90% of the shift
