Summary: The warehouseman will stock and pull orders within the warehouse to and from the
dock by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads customer orders or requisitions to determine items to be stored or distributed from
customer stock.
Conveys customer products to and from warehouse areas as customer orders dictate by the
use of forklift or other means.
Place customer products on racks, shelves, totes or in bins according to predetermined
customer and storage needs.
Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on receiving and
shipping documents.
Accurately records amounts of products received or distributed on shipping and receiving
documents per company standards

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required functions.
Must be able to manually and/or safely use various powered industrial equipment, such as
forklifts, powered pallet jacks, to load and unload trucks and rail cars as required by the
customer.
Must be able to follow written and oral communications to accurately and efficiently complete
various customer orders when receiving or pulling from stored inventory.
Must be able to neatly and accurately count, pick, restack and palletize customer product as
directed to ensure inventory accuracy.
Must be able to adhere to and follow strict safety and sanitation rules and guidelines.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, operating, procedure and
maintenance manuals.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers,
clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or
oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
None required at present.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Ability to pass a company certified forklift test license to obtain certification.

A local Norton Shores warehousing facility is looking for dependable Forklift Operators to join their Weekend Warrior team. This position works Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM. Overtime may be required.
What You’ll Be DoingOperate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the shift
Pull and stock products from warehouse shelves
Load and unload trucks
Use scanners and read work orders to accurately complete tasks
Track incoming and outgoing products
Stay on task and maintain productivity throughout the shift
Follow all company safety standards and procedures
Work in a cold warehouse environment
Communicate with management and be open to developing alternative solutions when needed
