Walker, MI
Shift:
1st Shift – Monday–Thursday, 4:45 AM–3:00 PM (possible overtime on Friday)
Pay:
1st Shift – $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and safety-focused individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team in Walker, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of warehouse operations, helping to ensure materials and products are moved safely, efficiently, and accurately throughout the facility to support production and shipping.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Forklift Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
● Operating forklifts safely and efficiently: Transport materials and products across production, shipping, and warehouse areas to maintain workflow.
● Loading and unloading materials: Handle incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks, trailers, and containers with precision.
● Maintaining equipment and workspace: Conduct routine forklift inspections and keep work areas organized and safe.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with general labor tasks as needed and collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and productivity.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift or Hilo
● 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
● Must be able to use onboard computer systems and communicate fluently in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Skills:
● Attention to detail: Ensures materials are handled accurately and safely to maintain product quality and prevent damage.
● Teamwork and communication: Works effectively with other departments to support smooth warehouse operations.
● Adaptability: Performs well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills:
● Previous quality control experience
● Basic math skills for accurate counting and inventory handling
