Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Forklift/Machine operator to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to build the future locally!
What You'll Be Doing
As a Forklift/Machine operator, your core responsibilities will include:
* Operating a forklift and various machines: Safely and efficiently maneuver materials and operate equipment to support the production line.
* Repairing and sanding down boards: Ensure the finished product meets all quality standards through detailed repair and sanding work.
* Assisting with building, packaging, and assembly: Support the production process by helping to build door frames, package products, and complete assembly tasks.
In addition, you will also be expected to cross train in other departments with the potential to be put into a lead position. This is a medium to fast-paced position.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
* Have forklift and machine operation experience.
* Must be able to do repetitive work and stand during the entire shift.
* Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Skills:
* Ability to use/read a tape measure and good math skills: For accurate quality control and measurement throughout the production process.
* Compliance with safety protocols: Must wear required protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
* Good work ethic: Maintain the required medium to fast pace to keep up with production demands.
