Forklift Operator
Location: Sparta, MI Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you an experienced forklift operator looking for an opportunity with a growing company? We're seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team in Sparta, MI. In this role, you'll support warehouse operations by safely transporting materials, managing shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Forklift Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Material Handling: Operate a forklift to transport materials to and from loading docks, warehouses, and freezer storage areas while maintaining an organized inventory system.
- Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, verify product accuracy against manifests and invoices, and document trailer conditions, raw material receipts, and finished goods.
- Inventory & Documentation: Prepare shipping and receiving records, bills of lading, and inventory documentation while utilizing the Device Magic Mobile Forms App to record and upload shipment information.
In addition, you will assist with labeling inventory, replenishing shipping supplies, delivering materials throughout the facility, and maintaining clean and organized work areas that meet food safety and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to obtain or maintain forklift certification.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
