Job Summary
Are you a motivated and hardworking individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Foundry Laborer to join a green sand foundry team in the Holland area. This company specializes in the production of gray iron castings ranging from 0.5 to 50 pounds. In this role, you’ll perform foundry work including buffing, polishing, inspecting, and packaging castings to meet customer specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Foundry Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Buff and polish castings according to customer specifications
- Inspect castings to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow operational and safety procedures at all times
- Pack castings into crates and bins for shipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with production goals in a fast-paced foundry setting
In addition, you will also be expected to work in a warm/hot manufacturing environment and support overall foundry operations as needed.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Previous foundry, buffing, or polishing experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in a warm/hot environment
- Strong work history and longevity with previous employers
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Inspect castings to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Physical Endurance: Perform repetitive lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Safety Awareness: Follow all operational and safety procedures in a foundry environment.
