Job Summary
We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Grinder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for grinding, finishing, and preparing metal products to meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, maintaining attention to detail, and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Grinder, your core responsibilities will include:
- Grinding and Finishing Parts: Use grinding equipment and hand tools to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and prepare products for final production stages.
- Inspecting Product Quality: Examine finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operating Equipment Safely: Properly operate grinders and related equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Maintaining Production Flow: Complete assigned work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Keeping Work Areas Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workstation and properly store tools and materials.
In addition, you may assist with material handling, product inspections, and other manufacturing duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Previous grinding, manufacturing, metal fabrication, or production experience preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Grinding and Finishing: Ability to safely operate grinding equipment and produce quality finished products.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify imperfections and maintain quality standards.
- Tool Operation: Comfortable using hand tools, grinders, and other production equipment.
- Productivity: Ability to maintain consistent production output throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands, arms, and upper body.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and move materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, dust, and noise.
