Location: Holland, MI Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday Pay: $19.01 per hour
Job Summary
Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity with a company known for quality and craftsmanship? We're seeking a Grinder to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll support production operations by grinding, finishing, and inspecting gray iron and ductile iron castings to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications.
We specialize in delivering high-quality gray iron and ductile iron castings designed to meet the demands of a wide range of industries. With advanced manufacturing processes and decades of expertise, we produce durable, precise components that power industries such as automotive, construction, agriculture, and heavy machinery.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Grinder, your core responsibilities will include:
Grinding & Finishing: Remove excess metal, gates, risers, and surface imperfections from castings using hand-held grinders and finishing tools.
Inspection: Visually inspect castings to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate grinding equipment and maintain tools in proper working condition.
Material Handling: Move and position castings throughout the finishing process while following safe work practices.
In addition, you will be expected to maintain a clean work area, follow all safety procedures, and assist in meeting daily production goals.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous manufacturing, foundry, metal finishing, or grinding experience preferred

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Skills:
Attention to Detail – Identify surface defects and ensure finished castings meet quality standards
Tool Operation – Safely use grinders and other hand and power tools
Quality Focus – Maintain consistent workmanship and product quality
Teamwork & Communication – Work effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
Physical Stamina – Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
