What You'll Be Doing
As a Press Helper / Secondary Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
As a Press Helper / Secondary Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Press Support & Coverage: Cover primary press operators during breaks and lunches and operate presses while quality inspections are performed.
- Material Handling & Setup: Load coils, verify coil tags against pick lists, assist with die set-ups, and support press changeovers.
- Quality & Documentation: Perform first and last hit inspections, ensure correct packaging and piece counts, create WIP/inventory tags, and accurately report production data in the AX system.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with packing and banding parts, operate forklifts safely, help with two-person press jobs, and maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
Skills:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Important for performing basic press operations and assisting with die set-ups and changeovers.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring quality inspections, accurate piece counts, and proper packaging.
- Teamwork & Communication: Needed to collaborate with operators, engineering, and quality teams to keep production running smoothly.
