Workbox Staffing is hiring
General Laborers
for a part-time opportunity at a transfer station in Ann Arbor, MI. This role involves outdoor cleanup and general labor, helping
maintain
the area by collecting debris and keeping the site clean. Ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and staying active throughout the day.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a General Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Debris Cleanup: Walk the fence line using pickers and trash cans to collect debris.
- Outdoor Maintenance: Remove trash and materials that have blown outside of the transfer station.
- General Labor Support: Assist with site cleanup and other duties as assigned.
This is a
physically active role
that requires walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous general labor or outdoor work experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor (walking, bending, lifting)
- Comfortable working in a dirty environment with strong odors
- Reliable with strong attendance
Shift & Employment Details
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- Shift Length: 8–10 hours depending on workload
- Part-time opportunity
Work Environment & PPE Requirements
- Environment: Outdoor transfer station; dirty conditions with exposure to trash and odors
- PPE Required: Work boots required; gloves and high-visibility vest provided
- Dress Code: Jeans or Dickies-style pants and a shirt; dress in layers based on weather
