Paint line 1st shift $15.50/hr, Clare, MI
Are you someone who is responsible for the appropriate application and quality of paint to all painted parts and understands the paint line process from start to finish? Qualifications: ● High School diploma or equivalent. ● Must be able to read a tape measure and have knowledge of blueprint reading. ● Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language. ● Ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently. ● Ability to solve practical problems and deal with the variety of situations which occur in the daily assembly process. ● Agility of the upper and lower body extremities, and capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly. ● Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Skills: ● Reading work orders or prints and receiving a sequence of painting from the Team Leader. ● Removing rust, BB’s and any imperfections from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting. ● Maintaining proper concentration of water, cleaning solutions, and temperature of wash tanks. ● Assuring proper corrosion retardation, adhesion, and paint durability. ● Hanging product on the line with proper hooks, eyelets and spacing to enhance the electrostatic process and assure safe and proper travel. ● Applying powder coat paint with the NPE-CC8 electrostatic power unit, while maintaining atomizing flow rate, fluidizing and kinetic voltage for efficient powder coating. ● Recording all labor and downtime, documenting information pertaining to each work order and routing. ● Helping maintain all company safety regulations for a clean, accident free and healthy work environment. ● Conferring with the team leader or crew leader on any problems regarding safety, quality, production, or inventory issues. As a Paint line 1st shift $15.50/hr, not only will you be responsible for the appropriate application and quality of paint and understanding the paint line process, but you'll also perform a variety of production duties to support efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing. This job, depending on your work ethic, could be a short-term or a long-term fit.
