Essential Responsibilities
Load and unload raw materials, castings, and finished products.
Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on brass and aluminum castings using hand grinders and other power tools.
Remove excess material and inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Assist machine operators with production tasks.
Perform basic assembly, sorting, packaging, and labeling of products.
Safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials and castings weighing up to 75 pounds, either independently or with assistance when required.
Move materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other material-handling equipment.
Inspect parts for quality and report defects or concerns to supervisors.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.
Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
Perform other general labor and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing, foundry, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Experience using hand grinders or other power tools is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and follow all company safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist throughout a 10-hour shift.
Safely operate hand grinders and other power tools.
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while grinding and finishing castings.
Must be able to wear a respirator and any other required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods while performing assigned duties.
Work in a manufacturing environment with heat, dust, moderate to high noise levels, and varying temperatures.
Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other protective equipment as required.
