Essential Responsibilities
- Load and unload raw materials, castings, and finished products.
- Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on brass and aluminum castings using hand grinders and other power tools.
- Remove excess material and inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assist machine operators with production tasks.
- Perform basic assembly, sorting, packaging, and labeling of products.
- Safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials and castings weighing up to 75 pounds, either independently or with assistance when required.
- Move materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other material-handling equipment.
- Inspect parts for quality and report defects or concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.
- Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
- Perform other general labor and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, foundry, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience using hand grinders or other power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow all company safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds .
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist throughout a 10-hour shift .
- Safely operate hand grinders and other power tools.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while grinding and finishing castings.
- Must be able to wear a respirator and any other required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods while performing assigned duties.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with heat, dust, moderate to high noise levels, and varying temperatures.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other protective equipment as required.
