Essential Responsibilities
  • Load and unload raw materials, castings, and finished products. 
  • Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on brass and aluminum castings using hand grinders and other power tools. 
  • Remove excess material and inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards. 
  • Assist machine operators with production tasks. 
  • Perform basic assembly, sorting, packaging, and labeling of products. 
  • Safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials and castings weighing up to 75 pounds, either independently or with assistance when required. 
  • Move materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other material-handling equipment. 
  • Inspect parts for quality and report defects or concerns to supervisors. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures. 
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards. 
  • Perform other general labor and manufacturing duties as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, foundry, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required. 
  • Experience using hand grinders or other power tools is a plus. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Willingness to learn and follow all company safety procedures. 
 
 
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to  75 pounds
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist throughout a  10-hour shift
  • Safely operate hand grinders and other power tools. 
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while grinding and finishing castings. 
  • Must be able to wear a  respirator  and any other required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods while performing assigned duties. 
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with heat, dust, moderate to high noise levels, and varying temperatures. 
  • Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other protective equipment as required.
