Hand Solder – $17/hr – Elkhart, IN
Are you ready to join a respected electronics manufacturing team where your precision and soldering skills are valued every day? We’re looking for a Hand Solder Technician to perform detailed soldering of electronic components and assemblies in a clean, climate-controlled environment. This 1st shift position offers steady hours and the opportunity to get hired in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise hand soldering of components on circuit boards following IPC-A610 standards
- Inspect solder joints and components to ensure proper placement and quality
- Read and follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics
- Utilize tools such as soldering irons, microscopes, and magnifiers
- Rework and repair defective boards or assemblies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment
- Document work and complete necessary quality checks
- Comply with all company policies and manufacturing procedures
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with hand soldering in a manufacturing or electronics environment
- Familiarity with IPC-A610 soldering standards preferred
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams
- Comfortable using microscopes and fine tools for extended periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or with a team
