Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Hilo Driver, with the opportunity to learn and develop skills in sand blasting raw steel. This role involves operating a Hilo to transport materials and equipment, and assisting in sand blasting operations to prepare steel surfaces for coating or treatment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in hot and dirty environments and is willing to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Hilo to transport materials, equipment, and personnel around the worksite
- Assist in sand blasting operations to prepare raw steel surfaces for coating or treatment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
- Load and unload materials and equipment from the Hilo
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a Hilo or similar material handling equipment
- Physical ability to work in hot and dirty environments
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects
- Strong attention to safety protocols and regulations
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sand blasting or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols for sand blasting operations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
