Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician
to join our team at our textile
manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant
maintenance, electrical systems, and general troubleshooting in a manufacturing
environment. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing production machinery,
conducting electrical diagnostics, checking valves, and reading volt meters to ensure
efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production and facility
equipment
•
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and textile machinery (sewing machines and
slitter)
•
Inspect, maintain, and repair valves, pumps, motors, and control systems
•
Use volt meters and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and identify
faults
•
Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime
•
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
•
Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operation of machinery
•
Document all maintenance activities and updates to equipment logs
•
Assist with installation of new equipment and machinery as needed
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
•
3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial
environment (textile experience a plus)
•
Solid understanding of electrical systems, volt meter use, and valve checks
•
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and electrical schematics
•
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
•
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
•
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
•
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Physical Requirements:
•
Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
•
Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels
•
Use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
