Ink Jet Operator
Location: Grand Rapids, MI Pay: $17.00/hr Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ink Jet Operator to join our team in Grand Rapids. In this role, you will support production operations in a fast-paced printing environment by setting up and operating inkjet equipment to print addresses, barcodes, and other information on envelopes. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term employment with the potential for hire-in.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Ink Jet Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Reading and following instructions outlined on job tickets to ensure accurate production.
- Setting up and operating ink jet printing equipment.
- Sorting, stacking, and properly organizing mail products.
- Monitoring output quality and making necessary adjustments to maintain print specifications.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and notifying supervision of mechanical or quality concerns.
- Completing job sign-offs and documenting production details.
- Ensuring all mail is sorted according to USPS DMM requirements.
You will also contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment and support overall production goals.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure print quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to count and organize product effectively.
- Problem-solving skills for basic equipment adjustments.
